The church comes together for worship
and nurture, and then goes out to share
the grace and mercy of God.

 

Outreach

 

At Covenant, we support the following ministries with our time, talents and money:

  • Good Samaritan Ministries – provides assistance to qualifying individuals with food, rent, utilities, eye glasses, transportation, heating fuel, prescriptions, and referrals to other agencies.

  • Interfaith Hospitality Network – provides shelter and food for homeless families.

  • Habitat for Humanity

  • Prison Ministry/Angel Tree – ministers to children of incarcerated parents.

  • Melting Pot – serves a hot lunch in downtown Johnson City for those who are homeless or indigent.

  • 4 Cents a Meal – supports projects locally and globally to alleviate hunger.

  • Grandfather Home for Children – an agency of the PCUSA that provides love, care and hope for children who have been abused or neglected.

  • Heifer Project

  • Gideon’s

  • Safe Passage – provides shelter for battered women and their children.

  • Haven of Mercy

  • Living Waters for the World – builds and installs water purification systems.

  • PC(USA) Offerings – Joy Gift, Peacemaking, Pentecost, One Great Hour of Sharing.

Covenant also reaches out to the community
with the use of our facilities:

  • Alcoholics Anonymous

  • Al-Anon

  • Adult Children of Addicted Families

  • GreySheeters Anonymous

  • Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts
